Women At Work: Color Photos from WW II

Women At Work Ww Ii

Rosie The Riveter Rosie the Riveter is an iconic symbol for the tremendous support the women of the United States gave during World War II. Since so many men were over seas for the war, many manufacturing facilities were short handed.  Women stepped up and did the hard  jobs the men traditionally performed.  Not only did they do it, they did it well.  These rare color photos show the contribution women made to the war effort.
